Erin Stover Joins RV Technical Institute As Director Of Learning And Strategy

Erin Stover

The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) welcomes Erin Stover as its new Director of Learning and Strategy. This critical role is focused on enhancing the world-class training provided to increase the number of skilled RV technicians. Stover's extensive background in corporate training and development, combined with her direct experience in the RV industry, positions her to guide the evolution of RVTI's curriculum.

Stover's professional journey demonstrates a consistent passion for improving processes and a natural inclination toward strategy. Starting in the financial industry, she honed her skills in compliance and policy development, where she wrote all of the company’s handbook policies and processes. This early work became her entry point to training, as she discovered a love for making systems more efficient and began leading new-hire onboarding.

Inspired, Stover earned a bachelor's degree with a focus on adult education and corporate training. She grew her expertise in a training specialist role, collaborating with teams across India, Costa Rica, and Australia, which provided her with a global perspective on curriculum design, delivery and learning strategy.

After over a decade in the financial sector, Stover found a new professional home in an industry that combines craftsmanship, adventure, and service — the RV world. Stover transitioned into this field when she took a role as Training Manager at General RV, overseeing their Fixed Operations and Technician Training program. Soon after starting the position, Erin began partnering with the RV Technical Institute itself.

"Almost immediately, I started working with RVTI," she recalls. "They helped me build my training program, and I gave feedback on theirs." Erin’s five years with General RV gave her insight into the RV industry, as well as the training needs of dealerships and technicians.

Erin now brings her experience and perspective to the Institute as the Director of Learning and Strategy. In her new role, Stover's primary focus will be on further elevating RVTI’s technician training program, including instructional materials, the Learning Management System, and in-person instruction. Her goal is to build on RVTI’s strong foundation to make training even better for technicians, ensuring they are equipped to service the millions of RVs on the road. Under her leadership, RVTI will continue to strengthen the bridge between technician education and real-world service excellence — aligning training outcomes with career advancement and industry growth.

Stover is motivated by the ultimate impact of her work. “RVs offer experiences that people are going to have with them forever,” Erin explains. “RVTI's goal is to recruit, train and certify technicians who will help return RVs to the road quickly and get people back to the activities that they love, so they can keep building those memories and experiences.” She adds: “It’s a fun industry, and the support that the RV Technical Institute can give is critical.”

"Everything aligned right for me," Stover says about joining RVTI. "I’ve learned and grown, and it’s ended up working out very well, I think, for everybody." Her background in foundational training, adult education, and direct experience in the RV service sector makes her a key asset in advancing the Institute's mission. With her combination of strategic vision and practical experience, Stover is poised to help RVTI expand its training impact and strengthen the technician career path across the RV industry.
