The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) is seeking industry professionals who are interested in helping shape the future of RV technician training, curriculum, and certification.
As the RV industry continues to evolve, the knowledge and skills required of today’s technicians are evolving with it. To keep RVTI’s training and certification programs relevant, practical, and aligned with industry needs, the program needs input from professionals across the RV community.
RVTI is expanding volunteer participation on its Curriculum Committee, Curriculum Subcommittees, and Certification Commission and is looking for individuals who are ready to share their experience and expertise.
Expanding Industry Representation
Historically, participation in these groups has relied heavily on the expertise of Master Certified RV Technicians. Their technical knowledge and real-world experience remain an essential part of RVTI’s work
Moving forward, RVTI is looking to complement that expertise by bringing additional perspectives to the table.
Professionals from across the industry—including RV manufacturers, suppliers, dealerships, training providers, educators, and other industry organizations—are encouraged to participate.
By expanding representation, RVTI can better ensure its curriculum and certification programs reflect what technicians need to know, as well as the technologies, products, service practices, and workforce needs shaping the industry.
Opportunities to Get Involved
Volunteers may serve in several capacities depending on their experience, interests, and areas of expertise.
The Curriculum Committee provides industry feedback and guidance related to RVTI curriculum standards, training requirements, certification updates, and continuing technical education.
Curriculum Subcommittees provide more focused technical expertise in specific subject areas. These groups offer an opportunity for professionals with specialized knowledge to contribute directly to the review and development of curriculum and technical standards.
The Certification Commission supports the continued strength and credibility of RVTI certification by providing industry expertise related to certification standards, assessment, and technician competency. RVTI is seeking professionals with knowledge and experience in:
- Propane
- Water Systems
- Electrical
- Appliances
- Chassis
- Generators
- Body
Together, these groups help ensure RVTI programs continue to prepare technicians for the work they perform every day.
